In their place, the public now only has access to basic call logs that include limited information such as the type of call, location, responding units, and final disposition. While this change restricts the ability to provide detailed narratives about public safety activity, the logs still offer a general picture of the types of incidents SCSO and area EMS teams handled on any given day. The following is a summary based on the calls logged for April 7, 2025. Others were either non-transports, false alarms, or handled by other jurisdictions. EMS units were dispatched to a variety of locations including: Residential Homes (e.g., 486 Hammerstein Rd, 238 Timber Hollow Rd) Apartments and Care Facilities (e.g., Joshua Landing Apartments, Randall House/Riverbend) Commercial and Public Places (e.g., SOMC Urgent Care, Kroger in Wheelersburg) Other Notable Calls Traffic Issues: Multiple road-related incidents occurred throughout the day, including backups on ST RTE 73, Millers Run-Back Run Rd, and South St/Ladonna Ave. Alarms and Suspicious Activity: Two false alarm calls were logged—one at a private residence and one at St. Peter's Church. A suspicious vehicle was reported on Ohio River Rd. Criminal Incidents: An assault was reported at STAR Community Justice Center, and a theft occurred on Country Club Drive. Both resulted in formal reports being taken. Mental Health and Suicide Calls: A suicide-related incident occurred at the Kroger in Wheelersburg, and a separate mental health call on St. Rte. 140 led to a transport. Animal Complaint: One call about an animal issue was recorded on Owensville Rd. Parade/Escort Duties: Officers provided escort services at Simon Miller Rd and Trinity Hall on ST RTE 73.
