The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office is looking for new full-time deputy sheriffs.
The sheriff’s office announced it is seeking dedicated, community-minded applicants to join the department as full-time deputies serving Scioto County.
Starting pay is listed at $22.68 to $28.07 per hour.
Benefits include sick time, holiday pay, and vacation time.
The position is full-time.
Previous hiring releases from the sheriff’s office have said deputy sheriff applicants assigned to the Patrol Division must be at least 21 years old, have a current Ohio Peace Officer Certification, pass a strict criminal background check, and possess a valid Ohio driver’s license.
That background check may include a Computerized Voice Stress Analyzer, also known as a CVSA, and/or a polygraph test.
