Crimes, Crashes, and Chaos: Scioto County’s Emergency Services Respond to 70 Calls in One Day

From medical emergencies to burglary reports and suspicious vehicles, June 18 proved to be another hectic day for emergency responders across Scioto County. The Sheriff’s Office, fire departments, and EMS crews fielded 70 calls throughout the day, covering everything from domestic disputes to vandalism, road blockages, and 911 hang-ups. 

Although the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office stopped sharing detailed call logs with Scioto County Daily News in early 2025, we remain committed to transparency and continue to report every detail available. Here’s a breakdown of the day’s emergency response activity. 

🚑 Medical & Fire Calls Flood Dispatch Lines 

Medical Emergencies:
A large share of the day’s calls—over 20 EMS dispatches—were for medical issues. Locations that required transport included: 

Some calls did not result in hospital transport, including incidents on Clairmont Ave, N Jackson St, and at Best Care Nursing & Rehab.

While no major fires were reported, fire units were dispatched for:
