Sharon “Sheri” K. Eastwood, a longtime Portsmouth resident, passed away at the age of 78 on February 21, 2026. Sheri was born to her parents, Harold and Mary Alice Leininger, on August 7, 1947.
Sheri worked as a beautician for most of her life, caring for others with a gentle touch and a warm smile. She loved her cats and dogs, enjoyed peaceful days spent fishing, and delighted in discovering treasures at garage sales and thrift stores.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, Jeffrey Lee; and her brother, Steve Leininger.
Sheri is survived by her husband, Rick Eastwood of Portsmouth; her step-son, Jeffrey Lynn Carson of Portsmouth; and her daughter, Christy Carson of Orlando, Florida. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Paige and Chase Carson, Christian Overman, Saraya Purtee, and Winter Coyle.
