Sharon Kay Galloway, 79, of Portsmouth, passed away peacefully at Hillview Retirement Center in Portsmouth on August 30, 2023. She was born, March 17, 1944 to the late John O’Hara and Vada (Musser) Fodge in Florida.
Sharon loved caring for and keeping on top of her children. She loved caring for animals, especially her many cats. She also loved sitting her window watching the birds, squirrels, and all of nature. Sharon is survived by two sons, Harold Dale Galloway of West Portsmouth and Steven Galloway and wife Kimberly of West Portsmouth; two daughters, Mary Ratliff of Portsmouth and Donna Galloway of Portsmouth; a brother, Gene Fodge of Sciotoville; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert “Cork” Galloway; and a daughter, Patricia Ann Galloway. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Lisa Crawford officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
