Shelby Wayne Bush, 78 of Load Ky, passed away at The Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY, on October 15, 2021. He passed away peacefully after a long illness. He was born in Greenup County, Ky on April 7, 1943, to the late Dennis & Linnie Roe Bush.
He retired after 35 years of working for the Greenup County School System, most as a bus driver. His favorite thing to do was to attend the local auction, and when his wife Rose was alive they would go square dancing. He enjoyed farming and bailing hay. One of his favorite things to do was spending time with his family and his grandkids and watching wrestling. His grandkids were his pride and joy. He loved listening to bluegrass and country music. He is going to be missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Rose Lee, his granddaughter Alyvia Woods and grandson Kenneth Smith, brothers, Clifford, Jimmy, Thurman, and Carl, sisters, Mary Bush, Dottie Bush, Beatrice Bush, Freda Marshall, Sreda Bush, Louise Craft, and Shirley Logan.
He is survived by his four daughters; Beverly (Gregory) Johnson of Hurricane, WV, Marie (Leonard) Woods of Richmond, KY.; Bonnie (Paul) Underwood of Flatwoods, KY.; and Connie Bush of Load, KY; a brother Clyde (Gracie) Bush of Raceland, KY. Grandchildren: Caleb and Christopher Woods, Hunter Underwood, Trinity (Adam) Riffitt, Step Grand Children: Rain and Matthew Johnson.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY, with Pastor Robbie Bond, officiating. Burial will follow in the Bentley Cemetery, Load, Ky. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021, from 6 till 8 p.m. and one hour before the service time on Wednesday.
