Officers investigated a report of a shocking response to a suicide threat just after 4:30 p.m.
Pike County dispatch forwarded a call from a caller who said a woman told them a man she knew was threatening suicide.
She responded by telling him to do it and sending a picture of a rope.
Scioto County deputies quickly tracked down the man. He denied wanting to commit suicide and refused medical attention.
