Police investigated reports of a shooting spree near the Scioto Trail around 7:30 pm.
Officers responded to the Scioto Trail after a caller said they heard 12 gunshots fired behind Mac A Doos and the Malt Shop.
Officers checked the area and also got another call about people shooting off guns between houses on 22nd Street.
The witness said the gunman had on a blue shirt and fired four or five shots before leaving the area. Police responded to the area but could not locate the suspect.
However, just before midnight, officers got a call from King’s Daughters’ Hospital that security discovered bullets in the trash can of one of the rooms. They were unsure where they came from.
Police said the rounds were 9 mm hollow points. It’s unclear if there is any relationship between the incidents.
