Shooting Threats at the First Stop

A man contacted officers at 2:30 pm to report that a man had threatened him at the First Stop on Harding Avenue. He told police this was the second time it had happened. 

The man had a video of the incident, and a license number for the man he claimed threatened him.

When officers viewed the video, they heard the alleged victim threaten the other man multiple times and even threaten to shoot him. 

Police advised him that if anyone was guilty of making threats, it was him. They advised him not to threaten to shoot people.

Burglar Caught in the Act on Gay Street

Just after 11:30 pm, officers responded to a report of a burglar alarm at the Marathon on Gay Street. 

When police arrived on the scene, they discovered a broken window. An officer patrolling the area spotted a man acting suspiciously on 9th Street. The man was walking fast and repeatedly looking over his shoulder. 

The officer detained the man and took him into custody for breaking and entering and resisting arrest.

High in the BP Bathroom

Officers responded to Gampps BP in Wheelersburg after witnesses reported a woman had done drugs in the bathroom and was now nodding in and out at a vehicle outside. Also said they found foil in the restroom. 

When officers responded to the scene, they discovered a man and a woman with open warrants. Officers detained both subjects and disposed of the foil. 

Car Goes Up in Flames at Kenny’s Convenient Mart

A vehicle burst into flames at Kenny’s Convenient Mart just after 2:30 pm. 

Employees advised first responders they attempted to push the vehicle away from the car. The fire was quickly extinguished.
