Shots Reported on Sunrise Avenue
A Sunrise Avenue neighbor reported gunshots just after 2 pm. When officers arrived on the scene, a witness said his neighbor was shooting at squirrels in their backyard.
The neighbor said he was shooting blanks to scare squirrels away. Officers spoke to the man, and he agreed not to do it anymore.
Gunshots Reported in Wayne Hills
Just before 2 am on Sunday, multiple people called the police to report gunshots on Thomas Avenue in the Wayne Hills Apartment complex.
A witness said she saw three males run into an apartment, and another caller said they saw a blue truck take off down the street.
When officers responded to the scene, they didn’t find any spent shell casings or holes in vehicles or structures. However, they said multiple people reported hearing shots.
Officers checked the apartment where witnesses thought they saw the men run, but could not locate them.
