Police busted a 44-year-old Farney Avenue man on 71 child porn charges after they say said he had dozens of videos depicting children and infants being sexually assaulted by adults.
PPD says it learned of the disgusting crimes after the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit contacted them, saying child sex assault material was being uploaded to the Internet from a home on Farney Avenue.
PPD Detectives, Scioto County SVU, and members of Ohio BCI raided the home of Jarrod Reffitt back on August 8 and also served search warrants on his electronic devices and social media accounts. Through the investigation of that seized property, they say they discovered he had what they called “an enormous amount of child sexual assault material.”
Those videos depicted horrific footage of adults sexually assaulting children and babies. On Friday, the Scioto County Grand Jury indicted Reffitt on 71 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor.
He’s currently in the Scioto County Jail pending an arraignment in Scioto County Common Pleas Court.
