SNAP Crackdown: Three Indicted in Scioto County Food Stamp Fraud Case

The Scioto County Grand Jury has handed down indictments against three people accused of illegally using food assistance benefits in a case involving thousands of dollars. 

Indicted during the grand jury’s latest session were: 

According to the indictments, Jennifer and Joshua Albrecht are accused of knowingly soliciting, possessing, buying, selling, using, altering, accepting, or illegally transferring SNAP benefits during a period in September 2024.

Court records indicate the alleged fraud involved more than $7,500 but less than $150,000 in benefits. 

The Albrechts are scheduled to appear in Scioto County Common Pleas Court on January 28. As of now, no court date has been released for Holsinger. 

As with all criminal cases, the indictments are allegations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
