Somebody Help Get Dave’s Saw Back

Get Dave's Saw Back

A local construction company wants Portsmouth police to know someone swiped a concrete saw — and it should be pretty easy to identify if it turns up.

Allard Construction contacted police Friday morning about ongoing theft problems.

The company reported that a Stihl concrete saw was stolen from a Connex storage container sometime between 5 p.m. July 30 and 6 a.m. Aug. 1.

There was no serial number available.

However, the saw had one very important identifying feature: “Dave” was written on the side in Sharpie.

The company did not request a formal report but wanted the theft documented and wanted police aware that items have been disappearing.

Workers also told officers a 24-foot ladder had previously been stolen, though that theft had not been reported at the time.

So if anyone spots a Stihl concrete saw with “Dave” written on it, there’s a good chance Dave would like it back.

Police documented the complaint.
