Portsmouth Police Officers responded to Save A Lot after a caller reported a disturbance just before 7 pm. They said a man on drugs had climbed onto a wall and was threatening to stab his mother.
The mom was waiting for the police in a vehicle in the Big Lots Parking Lot.
When officers arrived on the scene, they arrested Ethan Boyes for aggravated menacing and making a domestic threat.

Boyes, 20, was arrested back in March of 2023 for domestic violence, and a TPO was issued to protect the victim. However, the case was dismissed when the victim failed to appear in court.
