South Webster Woman Arrested in Bucyrus for Drugs and Guns

On Sunday, around 4:50 p.m., Bucyrus Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on a black sedan for speeding and registration violations.

During a subsequent search of the driver’s vehicle, law enforcement discovered two handguns, one of which is suspected to have been stolen in Scioto County, with the serial number removed. Additionally, 209 Gabapentin pills, 88 suboxone pills, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia were found.

April Copeland, a resident of South Webster, Ohio, now faces charges including improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle, possession of drugs (F5), and possession of drug paraphernalia (M1).

The discovery of firearms with altered serial numbers and the presence of various drugs and paraphernalia resulted in serious charges against Copeland. Police officers are continuing their investigation into the incident.
