Southern Ohio Drug Task Force: Two Arrested

According to a joint press release, this afternoon, Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini and Interim Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer announced that two persons have been arrested after a search warrant was executed at a Portsmouth residence.

The statement includes that members of the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force, SWAT, and Portsmouth K-9 converged at 4141 Hill Rd. in Portsmouth to execute a search warrant at the residence of 40-year-old Carson Craft.

“During a search of the residence, officers seized three firearms, approximately $2500 cash, digital scales, a small bag containing an unknown powder, and a small amount of suspected marijuana”

Carson Craft was arrested and charged with Having a Weapon While Under Disability, a felony of the 3rd degree.

35-year-old Tommy Jones of Dayton

35-year-old Tommy Jones of Dayton, Ohio was also arrested at the request of the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for allegedly violating parole.

The Press Release also confirmed that cases against Craft and Jones will eventually be forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office to be presented to a Scioto County Grand Jury for the consideration of additional felony charges.
