Deputies responded to Clayton Ct. in West Portsmouth after a report of a stabbing on Tuesday afternoon.
Just after 2:30 pm, a caller reported that maintenance at the apartments said there was a fight and some had been stabbed in the shoulder.
The caller relayed that they believed the subject was the victim’s mother.
Deputies responded to the scene and detained a woman for questioning. An ambulance transported the victim to the hospital. Deputies went to the hospital to get a statement for the report.
Deputies Aid Injured Man
A deputy came to the aid of an injured man just before 9 am on US 52 East.
A caller reported a man passed out at the guardrail. When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered the man was not intoxicated but dealing with a previous injury.
A deputy transported the man to Portsmouth and dropped him off at the Quik Stop.
