Stolen Car Crashes Into Ditch on Swauger Valley Road
Officers responded to a report of a rollover crash in a ditch on Swauger Valley Road just before 4 am on Wednesday.
A resident reported the crash and said three men ran through her yard while fleeing the scene of the crash. Another caller reported the crash just a few minutes later.
When deputies responded to the scene, they discovered the car. Witnesses told police that multiple young men fled the scene, and an officer observed another vehicle driving at a high rate of speed away from the area.
The deputy stopped a car with four men in it. The driver claimed he had just picked the men up at a nearby church and that none of them were driving.
Police learned that the vehicle had been stolen from a New Boston resident. New Boston Police had a warrant for one of the men in the vehicle.
The incident remains under investigation.
