Not everyone whose car goes missing is lucky enough to get it back, but one crime victim got some good news after their truck was stolen in the early morning hours of Thursday.
Just before 1:30 a.m., the caller reported the tan truck missing from 3rd Street in Portsmouth and issued a BOLO alert.
The next day, employees of Minix Giovanni’s in West Portsmouth spotted a suspicious pickup truck parked near the dumpsters and said it had been there with the door open since around 6 a.m.
Witnesses said there was a large amount of tools in the truck. When deputies checked it out, they discovered it was the missing vehicle from Portsmouth.
The vehicle’s owner headed to the scene to pick up the truck.
