Strange Woman Appears On Minford Porch
A strange woman turned up on the porch of an elderly Minford resident around 4 am. The homeowner said the woman was asking for help, but she was afraid to let her in because she didn’t know her.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they determined that the strange woman was on drugs and sent for an ambulance.
The woman refused treatment from the squad and instead asked to go to a rehab facility. A deputy transported the woman to a treatment center.
Man Passes Fake Money at Rally’s
A man in a van attempted to pass a fake $50 bill at Rally’s just before 2 am. However, an observant employee noticed the fake bill and contacted the police.
Employees also go ta description of the van the suspects were driving and a partial license plate number. Officers took information for a report.
Woman Assaulted In New Boston
Portsmouth Police Officers responded to a mutual aid call from New Boston after 3 pm after a report of an assault.
Witnesses said a man pushed a woman to the ground, and her head was bleeding. PPD could not locate the suspect.
