Stranger on the Porch: Midnight Door Jiggle Lands Minford Woman in Jail

A startled Minford resident called 911 around 1 a.m. after a woman wandered onto her porch and allegedly tried to open the front door. 

🚔 Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies rushed to the scene and quickly took the suspect into custody. 

The woman was identified as Shaina Stephenson, who wasn’t just trespassing — she was wanted for a probation violation. Deputies booked her into the Scioto County Jail on that charge.

If a stranger’s knocking (or jiggling your handle) after midnight, don’t open the doorcall 911 immediately. Motion lights, video doorbells, and keeping doors locked at all times can help deter unwanted visitors.
