Stripping Down at the Super Quick & Other Strange Behavior

Super Quick Trail

Portsmouth Police responded to multiple reports of unusual behavior this weekend, with some of it apparently linked to drug use.

Just after 11 a.m. on Friday, officers responded to a report of a man hitting his vehicle and trying to take his clothes off at the Super Quick on the Scioto Trail. He then tried to get in his vehicle and leave. Officers impounded his vehicle and had it towed.

At 1:30 p.m., a caller reported a very high man shirtless man acting strangely at the corner of Pleasant Avenue and Harrisonville Avenue. Officers determined the man was under the influence and called for an ambulance.

Just before 8 p.m., a caller said a man was yelling at a woman in front of Bob & Floyd Tire Sales on Chillicothe. He said the man spit in the woman’s face. However, the pair left before officers arrived.

A few minutes later, a caller reported the same man screaming at the woman at the corner of Gallia and Gay. Police advised the pair to calm down.

At 7:48 pm, a caller said a man with six kids and three dogs was running around River Road shooting pellet guns in the area of the campground restroom. When officers arrived on the scene and spoke to the family, they agreed to leave the area.
