Scioto County Sheriff’s deputies handled two separate calls involving Wheelersburg fast food restaurants, but one of them came with a pretty unusual proposed solution to an alleged theft.
Deputies were called to Subway after management reported that an employee had taken $347.
According to the sheriff’s office log, a deputy spoke with the female employee by phone and advised her to bring the money back or charges could be filed.
The employee reportedly said she would return the money the next day around 11 am.
Subway management told deputies that arrangement was acceptable and was advised to call the sheriff’s office back if the money was not returned.
No arrest was listed in the information provided.
Deputies were also called to the Wheelersburg McDonald’s after a man reported that he had been shoved by an employee at his former workplace and wanted to press charges.
After a deputy arrived, the caller asked to speak with a supervisor.
Another deputy went to speak with the other person involved at their home, and officers gathered information for a report.
No arrest was listed in that incident either.
So, in one Wheelersburg fast food call, deputies were sorting out an alleged shove.
In the other, an employee accused of taking $347 apparently got a chance to settle things the old-fashioned way:
Bring the money back.
