An incident of sexual assault was investigated by the Kentucky State Police at Grayson Lake. Carter County 911 reported that a female victim suffered a traumatic ordeal near the lake.
The incident started with the victim being picked up by Joshua Lewis, who allegedly promised to transport her from Ashland to Sandy Hook. However, Lewis diverted the situation towards a remote area near Grayson Lake. Here, the victim was reportedly subjected to a sexual assault.
Following the incident, the victim reportedly struggled to locate an area with cell phone service. Eventually, she was able to contact 911. The Kentucky State Police responded and quickly identified Joshua Lewis as the prime suspect.
Following a thorough investigation, law enforcement took Joshua Lewis into custody. He now faces charges of Rape 1st and Sodomy 1st. He is currently held at the Carter County Jail.
