Suspected Drugged Driver Busted After Hit and Run Injury Crash – 23rd Arrest
Portsmouth Police busted a 35-year-old man for the 23rd time after a serious crash on US 52.
Just before 10 pm, the Ohio State Patrol notified PPD that a car hit a vehicle on US 52, just west of the city, and then fled the scene.
PPD caught up with the suspect vehicle at the BP on Gallia. Police said the driver, Gregory McGraw, admitted to having meth in the car and was on the verge of passing out when they spoke to him.
His passenger requested an ambulance and medics also checked out the driver, who did not appear to be injured. Police said the driver was not insured.
Officer cited him for failure to control and arrested him for OVI, drug abuse, and possessing drug abuse instruments. This was his 24th arrest.
Previous arrests were for a parole violations, vandalism, probation violation, robbery, burglary, contempt, theft, and disorderly conduct.
Per the court, he was released a short time later.
