Suspected Kid Killer Gets Public Defender

Taxpayers will be footing the legal bills for a parolee suspected of gunning down a teenager and the Scioto County Grand Jury will decide if there’s enough evidence to charge Antonio Blake Milar with murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old Josh Reed.

Judge Stephen Mowery declared Milar indigent, appointed a public defender, and the case was waived to the Scioto County Grand Jury during a court hearing.

Milar is currently on parole following a conviction for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor in 2019. Milar has violated parole twice since his release. On top of that, records indicate that he was released from jail two weeks before the fatal shooting, following his arrest on a probation department warrant.
