Suspected Shoplifter Puts up a Fight at Speedway
Just after 10 am, officers responded to a report of a shoplifter at Speedway on Gallia Street.
The female suspect put up a bit of a fight before officers took her into custody. Multiple units and EMS responded to the scene, but the woman refused medical treatment.
Officers booked her into the Scioto County Jail on charges of resisting arrest, obstructing official business, possessing criminal tools, possessing drug abuse instruments, and on open warrants for possession of fentanyl, driving under the influence, and failure to appear.
This was her 10th time in the Scioto County Jail. Previous charges include possession of drugs, DUI, driving under suspension, probation violation, contempt, receiving stolen property, and failure to appear.
