Parked Car Thieves Hit Again
The string of thefts from parked vehicles continues in Portsmouth.
At 1:50 pm, a Jackson Avenue caller reported that someone stole his wallet out of his vehicle sometime overnight. When his wife got into the car to go shopping, she noticed his wallet was missing.
The wallet contained his license, keycard, debit card, credit card, and an Apple AirTag. He reported that the tag was pinging at an address in the 300 block of Boundary.
Police went with the man to search the yard but they could not locate the wallet or the AirTag. Officers suspected the thieves threw away the AirTag.
