Tanna E. Cantrell, 67, of Portsmouth passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at her home. She was born October 23, 1953, in Portsmouth to the late Paul and Darlene (Horsley) Whisman. Tanna loved working in flowers, gardening, painting, and sewing.
Tanna is survived by her husband, Jim Cantrell; two daughters, Kelli Hale of Portsmouth and Jennifer Traylor and fiancé Roy Jones of Lucasville; step-son, Jeremy Cantrell of South Webster; step-daughter, Amy Clawson of South Webster; grandchildren, Andrea Cantrell, Sarah Clawson, Elizabeth Branch, Tristan Traylor, Eli Traylor, Taylor Englehart, Kayla Traylor, Hannah Pauley, and Haylynn Pauley; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Whisman; two sisters, Deborah Jarrells and Pauletta Whisman. The family would like to give a special thank you to Tonya Entler for all her love and support during these trying times.
Friends may call at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston, Friday, September 3, 2021, from 12:00 (NOON) until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Don Noel officiating. Interment to follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.
