Teen Love Triangle Leads to Arrest

Emotions run pretty high with young people, and a teen love triangle led to an arrest after a report of some serious threats.

Just before 8 pm, The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office headed to the home of a teenager after her father reported the teen’s ex had threatened to kill them. Due to previous incidents, the father had taken out a protection order against the boy.

During the course of the investigation, the officer learned the same boy had accosted the girl and her new boyfriend in Huntington.

When a deputy spoke to the teen, he admitted calling the home but denied making death threats. A deputy took the boy into custody for menacing and transported him to the Lawrence County Juvenile Detention Center.
