Teresa Parker Brickey, 58 of Portsmouth, died peacefully in her sleep on November 7, 2021, at her home. She was born December 19, 1962, in Portsmouth to the late Robert Parker and Sarah Parker who survives. Along with her father, she is preceded in death by her brother Scotty Parker.
Throughout her life, Teresa made friends everywhere she went. She had a welcoming heart and a kind word for everyone she knew. She leaves behind many close friends at The American Legion Post 23, who were like family to her. During her decades of employment at Palmetto GBA and Southern Ohio Medical Center, she never met a stranger. She loved spending time making memories with all her family and friends. Teresa leaves behind both of her beloved boxers Benny and Beasley, and numerous friends and family members who will forever miss her beautiful smile and caring hugs.
Teresa is survived by her loving husband Dave Brickey whom she married September 10, 2008, 2 daughters, Kristi (Larry) Carter of Stout, Sheila (Robbie) Jenkins of South Webster, a step-son Cody (Sarah) Brickey of Sciotoville, mother-in-law Linda Waddell of New Boston, sister-in-law Patricia Parker of Dallas, GA. She was also a proud mamaw to seven grandchildren whom she bragged about often: Sydney Carter, Kara Carter, Sara Carter, and Lola Carter all of Stout, and Luke Jenkins, Landen Jenkins, and Liam Jenkins all of South Webster.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, November 15, 2021, at the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
