Woman Busted Breaking Into Impounded Car

Officers responded to the impound lot on Mary Ann just after 8pm for a report of a man and woman on the lot taking things out of an impounded car. 

Officers took a man and woman to the station for questioning and booked the woman on charges of breaking and entering and theft. 

This was the woman’s second arrest. She’d previously been picked up by NBPD for theft. 

Man Tasered After Car Break-Ins

Officers deployed a stun gun to take down a man suspected of breaking into a vehicle on 2nd Street. 

Just after midnight, a woman reported a man breaking into her vehicle in the 600 block of 2nd Street. When police arrived on the scene, they said 31-year-old Cody King resisted arrest, and they used a Taser to get him under control. 

Officers booked him into the Scioto County Jail for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. 

Thieves Hit Portsmouth Senior Lofts

Two people moving into apartments at the Portsmouth Senior Lofts said they were ripped off by people who were helping them move into their apartments. 

The victims pointed fingers at a neighbor they suspected was responsible. Officers advised the women to get them itemized lists of the things missing from their apartments in order for police to complete the report. 

Drunk & Disorderly at Buffalo Wild Wings

Two men landed in trouble with the law after a report of people causing a disturbance at Buffalo Wild Wings just before 10 pm. 

Police arrested two men for drunk and disorderly conduct and transported them to the Scioto County Jail.
