Thief Returns Wrong Stolen Lawnmower

Thief Returns Wrong Stolen Lawnmower

A bizarre case of stolen lawnmowers in West Portsmouth. A man called deputies to report a guy he knew stole his lawn mower last month. He got into an argument with the man, and the man dropped off a lawnmower at his house. However, it was not his stolen lawnmower and he suspected the thief took it from someone else.

Officers managed to match the model of the lawnmower to a stolen lawnmower report from May. The owner came to the scene to pick it up and confirmed that she did know the suspect in the theft.

Officers released the lawnmower to its original owner.
