Thieves Caught in the Act at Glockner’s

Portsmouth Police Officers caught two would-be thieves red-handed at Glockner’s on Friday night thanks to a top-of-the-line security system. The dealership had been coping with a string of thefts of catalytic converters and other items and had installed upgraded security as a result. The new system lets the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office view the video feed as needed. The business also hired on-site security to keep an eye on things.
Just after 11:30 pm, a call came into the SCSO Office reporting two people were on the lot at Glocker’s stealing tries.

When officers responded to the scene, they detained 36-year-old Felicia Tully of Portsmouth and 29-year-old Kevin Nance of New Boston. Officers questioned the pair and determined that both individuals gave false information to officers during the course of the questioning.

Deputies arrested the pair and impounded their vehicle. Nance and Tully were booked into the Scioto County Jail on charges of petty theft. Both were released on $1000 bail.

However, Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman said the investigation is not over and that others could still be charged in connection with the string of crimes. He asked anyone with information to contact the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office at 740-354-7566.
