Toby Adam Dryden, 50 of West Portsmouth, died Sunday, June 28, 2026 at his home. He was born February 14, 1976 in Portsmouth to the late Richard and Elnora Dryden.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Oakley Chamberlin.

Toby was a Supervisor for Rural King. He loved to hunt, fish, go boating and really loved fixing cars. His favorite drink was Mountain Dew. Toby’s prize possession was his 100 Anniversary Harley Davidson Fat Boy. But what he was really know for was being a great Papaw.

Toby is survived by his wife, Debbie Harr Dryden, whom he married on November 22, 2003, 3 daughters; Madison Dryden, Tabitha Wilson and Jennifer Dryden, a step daughter Rose Castillo, a stepson, Rudy Castillo, a brother Tony Dryden, 2 sisters; Lisa Dryden and Robin Flannery, along with 5 grandchildren whom he loved dearly; Avery Peano, Landon Wilson, Laiken Wilson, Legand Wilson and Beau Chamberlin.
