Traci Apel, 59, of Wheelersburg, passed away Monday March 17, 2025 at home. She was born June 2, 1965 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Kitchen and Carol Sue (Wright) Turner.
She was a cashier at Deemer’s Super Market where she enjoyed talking to all of her customers. She loved looking at the stars, but most of all, she enjoyed watching her grandson play football and spending time with her family.
Traci is survived by two daughters, Michal (Brandon) Maxie and Bea Bradley all of Wheelersburg; a brother, Scott Kitchen of Wheelersburg; a sister, Cheryl Wheeler of Wheelersburg; 5 grandchildren, Hayden, Brayden, Brody, Carly and Kyleigh; nieces and nephew, Meagon (Jeremy) Riggs, Matthew Wheeler (Trevor),Caitlyn Wheeler (Jeff) and Stephen Rice; great nieces and nephews, Khloe, Camdon, Karissah, Gage, Ava and Liam.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Apel and brother in-law Larry Wheeler.
There will be a private time for the family at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg.
