Troubled Homeless Woman Found Unresponsive in Alley

A troubled homeless woman, who frequently causes problems for the police, had a health scare.

Just before 9 am, Police and EMS responded to a report of an unresponsive woman in the alley between 6th and 7th Streets. By the time police arrived on the scene, she was awake.

About an hour later, a caller reported the same woman acting strangely near a school and going through trash on Glover Street.   Officers took her into custody for disorderly conduct and transported her to the Scioto County Jail.

This was the first time police have arrested her this year, despite dealing with nearly daily complaints about her behavior.

Earlier this week, motorists called the police after she was spotted running with a bag on her head in traffic. Officers have frequently removed her from the Portsmouth Post Office Lobby, where she likes to set up camp. On one recent occasion, she actually tied the doors to the lobby shut to keep others out.

She was released on $150 bond.
