Two Detained After Foot Pursuit
Deputies pursued two men on foot just after a traffic stop on Washington Blvd at 9:30 pm. One officer caught up with a suspect near Minix Giovanni’s, and a second officer caught the other guy near Warren and 2nd Street.
Officers originally called for a tow truck for a vehicle involved in the incident but managed to locate the vehicle’s owner, who came to retrieve it.
Deputies Search For Suicidal Man
Deputies launched a search for a suicidal man after an incident on Galena Pike just before 1 am. Officers were contacted by someone who had gotten into an argument with their domestic partner. The man had walked off, saying he planned to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge.
Officers spoke to the concerned partner and went searching for the suicidal individual. They caught up with the man a few minutes later and called for an ambulance to transport him to the hospital.
A deputy gave the man’s partner a ride to the hospital.
Wanted Woman Arrested at Otway Family Dollar
A traffic stop turned into an arrest near the Otway Family Dollar.
Deputies discovered the woman had open warrants for theft, breaking and entering, and obstruction of justice.
They briefly lost sight of the woman when she went into the Family Dollar and disappeared. When police searched her vehicle, they found a small amount of drugs. Officers took her into custody and arranged to have the vehicle towed.
