Ohio State Troopers took two into custody after a high-speed chase across the county. The chase started when officers spotted a vehicle driving close to 100 MPH near the Briar Patch on St. Rt. 104.
They said the vehicle almost hit a guardrail before turning onto Big Run Road. Troopers followed the vehicle down Sedan Crabtree and onto St. Rt. 348, where the white truck reached speeds of 100 MPH before turning back onto Big Run Road.
The vehicle started losing antifreeze. Deputies attempted to get ahead of the truck and set out stop sticks on Duck Run and Henry Cooper Road.
The vehicle headed onto 73 WB towards Rarden before crashing into a field just before hitting the Adams County Line.
Officers detained one person at the scene while another took off on foot, but they eventually caught up with them. The police report did not provide the names of the suspects.
