A utility thief left a man stuck with a gigantic electric bill. The Chesapeake man said he’d just moved into his home and learned that his power had been disconnected for a $1200 balance owed on a Proctorville apartment.
The man said he’d never lived at that apartment and was able to provide proof of where he lived during the time period the outstanding balance was billed for. He went ahead and paid the gigantic bill to get his electricity turned back on, but needed to file a police report in order to dispute the charges with AEP.
