Van Bursts Into Flames, Man Arrested for 20th Time

Just after 5 am, officers responded to 4th Street for a report that a man named Craig Galloway had set a van on fire in front of a home.  

When officers arrived, they discovered Galloway had open warrants and took the 54-year-old man into custody for at least the 20th time.

He told officers the fire was accidental, and it was already out by the time they arrived. Police booked him into the Scioto County Jail. 

Garage and Camper Burst into Flames on Jewell Road 

Just after 3 am, firefighters and officers responded to Jewell Road for a report of a garage fully consumed by flames.  

There were people living in the home, but fortunately, the garage was detached. To make things worse, a camper near the garage also caught on fire. Multiple units responded to the scene until the flames were under control.
