Virginia Woman Steals Baby from Church Nursery

A Virginia prosecutor says the woman intentionally misled investigators when she gave them false tips about her abduction of a 2-year-old from a church.

A Giles County Virginia grand jury indicted Nancy Renee Fridley on charges of kidnapping and neglect or abuse of children.

Fridley also faces a methamphetamine charge in Alleghany County, where Virginia State Police and the FBI located Noah Gabriel Trout.

Fridley sent the bogus tips to Virginia State investigators with the intention of directing search efforts toward another state instead of Alleghany County.

The toddler was removed from a nursery at Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead, Virginia, during Sunday services.

She and her boyfriend shaved Noah’s head during the time that Fridley allegedly had him, then introduced him to neighbors as Bobby Jr., claiming he was the child of Fridley’s boyfriend Bobby Lee Taylor.
