Vivian Helen Stewart Ratliff, 94, of South Portsmouth, KY. went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at South Shore Nursing & Rehab in South Shore, KY. She was born in Fullerton, KY, on November 18, 1931, a daughter of the late Forrest and Hazel Dowdy Stewart.
Vivian was a member of the South Shore First Church of God and had been a member of the Eastern Star for 75 years, holding every office during that time and serving as “Worthy Matron” for twelve of those years.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, before his passing, Denver Lee Ratliff; one brother, Howard Stewart; one sister, Ethel Newman; and son-in-law, Michael Tinsley
Left behind to cherish her memory are two daughters, Beverly (Terry) Potter of South Shore, KY, and Teresa Tinsley of South Portsmouth, KY; two sons, Steve (Rita) Ratliff of South Portsmouth, KY, and Joe Ratliff of Lexington, KY; six grandchildren, Nicole (Mike) Whitley, Ami (Kris) Bartee, Kyle Potter, Emily (Matthew) Tussey, Adam (Molly) Ratliff and Julie (Jonathan) Byrne; she is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, Alison and Adalyn Whitley, Remington and Kase Bartee, Tayte and Delaney Ratliff, Michael and Maverick Tussey and Vivian and Wyatt Byrne as well as several nieces, nephews, family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY, with Donny McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow at MT Zion Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until 2 P.M.
