Walter “Bobby” Riffe, 81, of Quincy, KY., passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH. He was born in ST Paul, KY., on April 15, 1943, a son of the late Walter F. and Nora Ruggles Riffe.
Bob retired from North American Refractories in South Shore, KY., and farmed his whole life.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Judy Lewis Riffe; two sisters, Carolyn Sizemore and Brenda Vaughn; one son-in-law, Steve Middleton.
Left behind to cherish his memory are two daughters, Paige Middleton of West Portsmouth, OH., and Melissa (Marty) Barnett of Garrison, KY; one son, Rob Riffe of Vanceburg, KY; one sister, Donna (Tim) Cornett of Louisville, KY; ten grandchildren, Tyler, Bobby, Kaylyn, Wes, Gavin, Emily, Gracie, Abby, Khloe and Samie; five great-grandchildren, Lacie, Beckham, Harper, Audrey, Hudson and several other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Roger Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Riffe Cemetery on Zion Ridge in Greenup County, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
Wesley Barnett, Gavin Barnett, Marty Barnett, Tyler Riffe, Bobby Middleton, and Matthew Hunt will serve as pallbearers.
