Officers took a man the state of Ohio described as ‘armed and dangerous’ into custody after a manhunt on Friday night. And it was far from this guy’s first time behind bars.
It all started at 8 p.m. when a Wheelersburg caller said they had spotted a man officials were hunting for in connection to a serious crime at their apartment complex.
The caller said the man was in a dark blue Ford with an “In loving memory” sticker on the back. Officers located the vehicle near Gephart Road. They learned the man had an open warrant and that ODRC was searching for the man as an ‘armed and dangerous’ parole violator.
Police took 40-year-old Jason Scott Burton into custody for parole violation. Burton just got out on parole from a 10-year sentence for drug trafficking and weapons charges back in May of this year. He only had to stay out of trouble for 6 months to complete his parole, but he apparently couldn’t make it that far.
Police booked him into the Scioto County Jail for the 10th time.
