Chaos strikes in the early morning hours!
At precisely 3:14 am on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, a shocking 911 call sent authorities scrambling when Southern Ohio Medical Center reported two stabbing victims arriving at the hospital. One of the victims was airlifted to a nearby facility, while the other was treated and released.
Sheriff David Thoroughman quickly dispatched deputies to investigate, leading to a swift breakthrough. The stabbing had occurred at a home on Pine Fork Road in West Portsmouth, where deputies and detectives raced to gather evidence. With a search warrant in hand, they processed the crime scene, piecing together the terrifying incident.
After questioning witnesses, one name surfaced: Kevin E. Pack, 51, a local man who was promptly detained. He now faces charges of Attempted Murder (1st degree felony) and Felonious Assault (2nd degree felony) in connection to the savage attack.
Pack remains behind bars at the Scioto County Jail, with his bond set at a staggering $125,000. He will face a judge on Thursday, March 20, 2025, in Portsmouth Municipal Court.
