4 Southern Ohio women made headlines across the state when the FBI conducted large-scale raids on a crisp March morning.

The original reports from nearly 2 years ago went like this.

According to an exclusive statement from Todd Lindgren of the FBI, “The FBI, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office and our law enforcement partners executed search warrants on March 24, 2020”

The women are all charged in a disturbing case of human trafficking.

Law enforcement officials say Magan Richmond, 32, of Lindeman Road in Portsmouth, Tasha Stringer, 37, of Germany Hollow Road in Wheelersburg, and Kathryn McMullen, 36, of Brushy Fork Road in South Webster arranged for multiple children, both boys and girls, between the ages of 3 and 13 to be raped by adults in exchange for drugs and money.  It is also alledged that the rapes were captured on video and in photographs.

In addition, Beverly Holbrook of 1241A Dennison Rd in South Webster was also arrested and named as a co-conspirator with the trio.

After long and disturbing criminal proceedings, here are the results and the current status of each case.

Each year over 5,000 Ohio children are reported to have been sexually abused. Statistics show only 38% of kids who are victims of sex abuse tell someone. Sixty percent of these kids are abused by close friends or family members.

While many think of child sex trafficking as involving kidnapping by strangers, it is frequently relatives or friends of the family that allow kids to be raped and used for child pornography in exchange for drugs and money.  If you suspect a child is being traded for sex immediately call your local law enforcement.

The Sheriff’s Office, Ohio Attorney General, Prosecutor’s Office, and the FBI will continue to work together jointly on the investigation and are seeking information on any more possible victims. If you have information, call Detective Jodi Conkel at 740-351-1091.
