Shortly after 8:15 a.m. on Friday, several calls came into 911 regarding at least one person in a black SUV shooting at a man in the 5300 block of Wilson Ave in Sciotoville.

A large number of officers from the PPD and the Sheriff’s Department responded to the incident. A notification was also sent to the Ohio Highway State Patrol.

When officers arrived, the shooting had stopped and nobody had been shot. A search was initiated for the vehicle described by the callers.

While some officers remained with the reporting party, other officers stated that they knew of a home that had issues with the male in the past.

Supervisors went to that location and began to question the residents.

A police officer at the shooting site confirmed that spent shell casings had been discovered.

Just before 9:30 a.m., officers reported that they had a male detained and ran the serial number of a Remington firearm.

After spending some time answering questions, the Police booked Joshua Jackson into the Scioto County Jail.

Jackson has been charged with Felonious Assault.
