Deputies were left scratching their heads after a man walked all the way from Wayne Hills to the Sheriff’s Office to file one of the more bizarre complaints of the week.
According to the caller, people at a property on Elliot Hill Road were allegedly sending him videos of themselves smashing his car windows — complete with a threat that the car was “going to the junkyard.”
Yes… apparently the vandals not only committed the crime, but they also allegedly documented it like a livestream special.
A deputy met with the man at the station to review the recordings and took information for a criminal damaging report. The case is now under investigation.
Whether this turns out to be sabotage, a feud gone cinematic, or just the strangest group chat in Scioto County, deputies will be sorting it out — hopefully without needing popcorn for the screening.
