Witness Says Relative Sprayed Mentally Disabled Man in Face With Water Gun – Called Him Stupid

Some shocking allegations of mistreatment of a mentally disabled man. It all started when the social worker for a mentally disabled man contacted deputies to report the man was frightened of his nephew who uses drugs, manufactures drugs in the home, and had possibly taken the man’s medications. 

The man’s sister claimed that the nephew says cruel things to the disabled man and sprays him in the face with a water gun, and calls him stupid when he talks. Officers took information for a report. 

Woman Flips Off Motorists of St. Rt. 104

Just after 8 pm, a deputy spotted a woman pushing a Dollar General shopping cart on St. Rt. 104 while she flipped off motorists. 

A deputy stopped the woman. After returning the buggy to the store, the deputy gave the woman a ride home to Wayne Avenue in Portsmouth. 

Drugs, Gun Discovered at Traffic Stop

A traffic stop on St. Rt. 239 resulted in a man being taken to the hospital and then to the Scioto County Jail. 

Just after 1 am on Thursday, deputies pulled over a vehicle and discovered the driver had an open warrant for probation violation in a dangerous drugs case.

A deputy located a gun and drugs in the vehicle. The driver began to complain of chest pains and requested an ambulance. Deputies accompanied the man to the ER to be checked out and then brought him back to the jail. 

Prowler Reported on Houston Hollow Road

Just after 3 am, officers received a report of a prowler with a flashlight on Houston Hollow Candy Run. 

When deputies arrived on the scene, the woman who reported the incident said it was her neighbors and it appeared they were on meth, but she didn’t want police. 

When officers checked in on the neighbor, they discovered he had an open warrant. Police took him into custody.
